When farmers need to spraypaint ';COW'; on livestock to protect them...
Yes.Do you yanks really wear bright orange tops and hats when you go hunting so you don't shoot each other?
It's the law up here for hunting with the only exceptions being turkey, waterfowl, and archery deer/bear. It's probably a good idea; I'm sure it has saved lives from careless hunters shooting at unknown targets.
Or maybe some people just need help identifying what's human and what's not. It's hard to tell these days. . .Do you yanks really wear bright orange tops and hats when you go hunting so you don't shoot each other?
We do if we want to avoid getting a ticket from the Possum Cop.
FWIW, I've worn hunter orange since long before it became mandatory. Some areas have lots of hunters, and not all of the hunters are good hunters. Some are real slob hunters, and it is wise to do everything possible to make sure these idiots can tell that you are not a critter.
Doc
yes
Us yanks realize deer aren't people and don't see like people
deer see everything in black and white and grey, so it doesn't matter what color your have, that is why bright orange with camo splotches hides you better from deer than an all brown jacket would
I say, if the deer can't see color, but other humans CAN, you'd be dumb to NOT wear orange
I sure do, don't have a problem with it. I would much rather be seen than shot while out in the woods trying to get a rabbit for the pot. You hear all the time somebody getting shot while hunting, well I would not want to be one of those statistics.
lol, down here in the south i wear mine(vest) during deer season only.
and only when im walking to my stand. once im in my stand i take it off. during turkey season i wrap my decoys (when i carry them ) in my vest but thats it.
In Canada, it is required by law to wear orange in certain provinces. Pretty sure it is the same type of thing in the US, with it being required in some states.
Yes, you limey we do. But only when using a gun. Bow hunting (In my state) doesn't require hunter orange. Different rules in Different states. Do Britts really wear those plad pants and leather boots to bird hunt?
Rifle season for deer.
We have to many 1 time a year hunters from the big cities who only see game animals in a zoo. They will shoot at any thing that moves. Thats why I bow hunt for deer.
Yes its very popular here, and worn as a fashion statement, while at the same time covering your $ss while Hunting the Fields and Forests.*
It's the State of Illinois law that you must wear blaze orange clothing during Deer firearm/muzzleloader season.
You bet. I guess you wouldn't know since in England you can't own firearms that shoot more than 20 yards.
(Yanks..Canadian?? Canadians have French ancestry, Duh)
Some states require you too, Hell last year on the news near where i hunt a 19 year old kid got shot cause he had a brown blanket on over top of him and some dumb *** shot him
Those who can not sit still and move around pretending to be game do. I sit in a tree stand, do not move and watch all the idiots moving around below me.
Yes. It's the law.
never
Oh ya you betcha eh!! Is there anything else you'd like to know aboot.
