Any good idea where can i go hunting in New York : deer , turky ? did you know any good place ?

Your best bet is to get to know some landowners who aren't adverse to allowing a few select people to hunt their property. Second best is to join a private hunting club - yes, they do exist and no, I'm not talking foxhunting, lol. Prolly the worst is to hunt state land, of which there ain't much left in New York. In the Southern Tier of the state, Connecticut Hill is very popular, and so is Sapsucker Woods - but you gotta get permission for Sapsucker Woods, and that's very hard. Pick up a copy of the state fishing and hunting regs for clues as to where else in the state you can try your luck. All of my hunting buddys hunt privately-owned land (with permission). Come deer season, I'd prefer going back out West - New Mexico, Arizona, Montana, Wyoming, Colorado, Oregon, Washington - at least I can find someplace to hunt on state or federal lands where there aren't other hunters peering over my shoulder every step I take like they are here in New York!Any good idea where can i go hunting in New York : deer , turky ? did you know any good place ?
Lucky for us new yorkers most people like the last comment don't realize there is more to new york then just the souther tier. I've hunted state land in the Adirondack mountains for 20 years and have only run into a handful of hunters in those times. Take out a map and you will find hunting galor.
