You can't ban a section on hunting anymore than you can stop people hunting unfortunately. Hunting should only ever be done humanely and selectively so as not to affect the natural balance between species if it is to be done at all. Should the hunting category be banned from Yahoo answers?
It depends on where you live @ the location. It's not taboo here in Maine Hunting UP here is very common every season each year. Although, some environmentally concerned people want it banned ENTIRELY, claiming we're driven them towards extinction in our Maine woods. I, for 1, think they're using scare tactics to put a stop to our American seasonal tradition. So far, there's NO evidence of plummeting animal populations, that I know of, to back them up. So, you're okay to ask it. I hope this answers your question.

well i dont know about bannin it but i didnt even know they had a hunting section so i went to it and was writing people who were talking about killing poor squirrels and what not. so the out come was some one reporting me! i guess i pis*ed someone off with my answers! lol
