Do you think women should be able to go fox hunting?

I totally disagree with women fox hunting because of the dangerous terrain that the horses will be running through with the hounds in order to catch the fox. Since the men will be riding the horses in the woods, up and down hills, and jumping over fallen branches and such, women just need to be content with waiting on their men to come back. Etiquette in equestrianism requires that women ride horses side saddle so their dresses will not be raised up immodestly. (It is VERY unladylike to mount a horse between her legs as well) If women really wish to help they can always feed the hounds beforehand and give them baths when they come back from the hunt. Seriously, fox hunting is no sport for a woman...I'm sorry ladies.Do you think women should be able to go fox hunting?

Such hunting is improper for both sexes. Poor lil fox doesn't deserve this sort of treatment by overbred arrogant aristrocratic scions who have nothing more constructive to do. When was the last time you rode the hounds, old chap?





As for riding astride, I would worry that a man might pull an important muscle or bounce up and down in the saddle, perhaps doing harm to those precious little packets as their horses do all that leaping about over logs and fences.





Perhaps MEN should ride sidesaddle as well so that they can ensure the continuation of their line.

I believe it all depends on the women's personality and what her husband thinks. Some women (I call them girly-girls) are very timid, always into looking nice and never getting dirty, and wouldn't shoot an animal if you paid 'em a million bucks! Other women have the tom boy mentality and are completely comfortable hunting, fishing, playing baseball, etc. If the husband didn't mind and his wife exhibited these tom boyish characteristics, then I don't see a problem.

I'm completely opposed to hunting as a sport. I think it's sick that people kill defenseless animals for fun. The poor little fox doesn't deserve to die like that.

HUnting is awful in general. The animal dies in terror. No woman should find it entertaining.
