12 gauge slug or 10 gauge slug for hunting deer?

which is better?12 gauge slug or 10 gauge slug for hunting deer?
Everyone pretty much touched off on the fact that 10ga. slugs are nearly non-existent. They are far and few between if they do exist... however I'm sure they exist in some far-off land somewhere... seriously.

Anyways... 10ga. is really, really, really, brutal.

That Ithaca Roadblocker 10ga. Semi looks like a whole lotta fun.............. it really isn't. It's just painful.12 gauge slug or 10 gauge slug for hunting deer?
i have both a 12 and a 10 ga if i wanna shoot em at lets say 75-150 yrds ill use the 12ga slug if i wanna shoot em at lets say 40-75 ill use the 10ga 00 buck if im gonna be in some thick stuff ill use 4buck for the 10ga either way im droppin em ware they stand i love shootin the 10ga its alitte more power i have no prob shootin it alot of guys out there dont like it but the 3inch 12ga has just as much power but its no 10ga
I've been around awhile to. Haven't seen a 10 gauge slug yet, although im sure they exsist. I know with certain types of game shot, they were as leathal as any buckshot in a 12 gauge. And has accounted for any number of deer. One still floats around my family in a double barrel. And has soundly knocked certain shooters out unconscience that felt the urge of pulling the trigger. It's not for the timid at heart.
I am with the God Fearing Outdoorsman; I have been shooting and hunting for 33 years and have peronsally owned two different 10 gauge shotguns. I have never seen a 10 ga. slug. In fact, I don't think I have ever seen 10 ga. buckshot for that matter...even though Ithaca used to sell a version of their Mag-10 called the ';Roadblocker'; for law enforcement use.
I have been around guns all my life and never have seen a 10 gauge slug.

That's not saying they don't exist. It's saying they are very rare.

12 gauge would be the better choice for that reason. You get plenty of punch with a 12 gauge.

Slugger庐 Rifled Slugs

Always in the forefront of deer slug technology, Remington redesigned their 12-gauge Slugger Rifled Slug for a 25% improvement in accuracy. Also, at 1760 fps muzzle velocity, their 3'; 12-ga. Magnum slugs shoot 25% flatter than regular 12-ga. slugs. Packed in convenient, easy-carrying 5-round boxes. Also available in a reduced recoil loading.

12ga will be great. That is a very heavy projectile. The 10ga is overkill and you might need a chiropractor after shooting it for a while.
With the advent of modern gunpowder and 3'; magnums, a 12 will do anything a 10 will do, with less punishment to the user.
12ga........plenty big and more ammo available in all types. 10ga expensive and ballistics are no better and a little less at range.
Dead is dead and neither will kill a deer deader than the other.

The 12 Gauge won't hurt YOU as much as the 10 gauge will.
